Review

Jack Seale

Kerry Godliman’s amiability goes a long way in this detective series, which apart from her performance is a by-the-numbers crime drama based on Julie Wassmer’s novels.

Godliman is Pearl Nolan, your classic PI whose local knowledge and unconventional methods are a thorn in the side of official law enforcement, played here by Howard Charles as a DCI who, you guessed it, is new in Whitstable and doesn’t enjoy life in a close-knit coastal town.
