Review

Stephen Kelly

“Old man noises,” says 36-year-old Dougie Poynter, groaning as he gets out of a van. It’s hard to believe, but pop rockers McFly are celebrating their 21st birthday, and this fizzy concert film follows them as they throw a party at the O2 Arena.

The most interesting stuff happens backstage, as the band’s members reflect upon their success. “We’ve seen a lot of bands come and go,” says Danny Jones, “and the reason why is because they didn’t have people like us to write their songs!”
