Ivory Coast v Norway

Summary

Ivory Coast v Norway (Kick-off 6.00pm). Coverage of the round-of-32 match at Dallas Stadium in the USA. Ivory Coast finished second in Group E on six points, just losing out on top spot due to their head-to-head record against group winners Germany. Despite that they still created history after they reached the knockout stages for the first time, after three previous attempts. Stale Solbakken chose to rest the vast majority of his Norwegian first choice players for their group decider against France, which they subsequently lost 4-1, meaning they will at least be refreshed as they aim to reach the last 16

Review

Norway continue their World Cup adventure against Ivory Coast in the round of 32.

Erling Haaland will return to Norway’s XI, after he was one of 10 players rested against France, to face an Ivory Coast side that finished second in Group E behind Germany.

Whoever progresses will face Brazil, who left it late to beat Japan, in the round of 16.
