Czechia v South Africa

Summary

Czechia v South Africa (Kick-off 5.00pm). Mark Chapman presents coverage of the Group A match at Atlanta Stadium in the USA. Czechia have only appeared at one previous World Cup finals since Czechoslovakia was dissolved in 1992, that being the 2006 tournament in Germany. They got off to a disappointing on their return to this stage when they were defeated 2-1 by South Korea in their opener. The Bafana Bafana also lost their first match, going down to nine men in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of co-hosts Mexico. They will now look to draw from their experience of having competed at a major tournament just six months ago at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they progressed from a group that also contained Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe, before being eliminated by Cameroon in the last-16. WIth analysis from Ashley Williams, Thomas Frank and Benni McCarthy
