Ecuador v Germany

Summary

Ecuador v Germany (Kick-off 9.00pm). Kelly Cates presents coverage of the Group E match at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. Germany have already won the group, thanks to an injury-time winner against Ivory Coast that made it two wins from two for them, while Ecuador realistically need a win to qualify for the knockout stages. This will be the third overall meeting between these nations, and their second as part of a group stage at a World Cup after previously being drawn alongside each other at the 2006 tournament in Germany. Die Mannschaft were 3-0 winners on that occasion courtesy of a brace from Miroslav Klose and one from Lukas Podolski, which was also the final clash of the group stage, and resulted in both teams progressing to the knockout stage with Germany topping the table and La Tricolor finishing second. With analysis from Daniel Sturridge, Joe Hart and Lucas Leiva
