Review

Cerys Matthews is joined by writers Lemn Sissay, Katherine Rundell and Mark Gatiss to explore the magic — and the sadness — of this time of year.

Dylan Thomas’s nostalgic yearning for his youth runs throughout in readings from A Child’s Christmas in Wales. With a festive scattering of literary extracts and some fabulous archive clips, this exquisite programme is the perfect mood-setter for Christmas, but you may need a handkerchief.
