It’s a big day for fans of both flavours of rugby. If the 13-a-side game is more to your taste, you could kick things off with the women’s Rugby League Challenge Cup final on BBC2 at 11.15am between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens. At 2pm, Mark Chapman heads the presenting team at Wembley for the men’s final. This year’s clash sees record-breaking 20-time winners Wigan Warriors facing off against Warrington Wolves. History is not on Wolves’s side but could this year rewrite the history books? New Wolves coach Sam Burgess certainly hopes so.

If you prefer 15-a-side, ITV1 has Rugby Union’s Premiership final between Bath and Northampton which should make for an entertaining encounter.
