Fleabag launched Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s career on both sides of the Atlantic – and with good reason.
Adapted from her Edinburgh Festival Fringe play of the same name, Waller-Bridge writes and stars in the tragi-comedy about a young woman struggling to come to terms with the death of her best friend, her nightmarish godmother (played with aplomb by Olivia Colman) and in the second series (arguably even stronger than the first), grappling with “Hot Priest” Andrew Scott.
There’s little surprise it’s picked up almost every award going.
