Jane Rackham

When John Mook married his second wife Heather, friends were delighted that he had finally found happiness. He had confided in one that Heather had a past but told them it didn’t bother him. It should have.

This astonishing story starts with John being rushed to York Hospital after mysteriously collapsing. Medics discovered he had high levels of anti-depressants in his system, despite never having been prescribed them. It was then that his daughters alerted the police. We gradually hear about what Heather had done, including another shocking poisoning attempt and several deceptions, some of which are unbelievably wicked. It’s an extraordinary tale.
