After premiering at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, the true crime drama from documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim will debut in cinemas worldwide on 25 September 2026.

Primetime stars Pattinson as Chis Hansen, the newsman who became a household name for confronting men who turned up at a sting house expecting to meet a minor in 2006.

The film will trace the origin of To Catch a Predator, the television news program that was hosted by Hansen and aired on NBC from 2004 to 2007.

Alongside Pattinson, Anna Faris (Scary Movie) will star as Hansen's first wife, Mary Joan.
