Although playing Eleven in Stranger Things is by some distance Millie Bobby Brown's most famous role, she's also found success starring as a very different character on Netflix: Enola Holmes.

Two previous films on the streamer introduced us to Sherlock's feisty, highly skilled, fourth-wall breaking sister (who was originally invented for a series of young adult novels by American author Nancy Springer), and now she's back for another outing.

How to watch Enola Holmes 3 – is it streaming?
Yes! The good news for fans who can't wait to dive into this latest mystery is that it's already available to stream on Netflix, having been added to the platform on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
As with the two previous entries in the franchise, it is a Netflix original that bypassed a theatrical release and is therefore only available to watch on the streamer.
What happens in Enola Holmes 3?
After the previous two films took place largely in London, this third film is set somewhat further afield. Specifically, the action unfolds in the Mediterranean island of Malta during the time that the now independent nation was under British colonial rule.
The official reason for Enola's trip is that Malta has been chosen as the location for her upcoming wedding to Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge).
But after her famous brother Sherlock is kidnapped, the sun-soaked island also ends up forming the backdrop for a new case that sees Enola come into contact with a British brigadier, a Maltese independence fighter and a notorious nemesis.
The official synopsis reads: "Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before."
