Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper’s Ocean’s Eleven project is filling out the team – with new additions including a BAFTA nominee and a Netflix leading man.

The upcoming prequel, which is currently slated for release in June 2027, has reportedly added 1917 star George MacKay and Phantom Thread’s Vicky Krieps to their all-star heist – with Lupin’s Omar Sy also deep in negotiations to join.

Lauren Ridloff, who played Connie on The Walking Dead, is also joining the cast alongside British actor Jack Holden, whose most notable on-screen role to date was Ten Percent, the English adaptation of French comedy, Call My Agent.

The growing international team join the already confirmed Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro and Josh Gad, as well as Cooper and Robbie, who will be producing together as well as starring in the film.

Cooper is also writing the top secret script and will be directing the film as well.

Loosely connected to the 2001 movie starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, the new prequel will be set during the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.

Much like the other films in the franchise, the story will follow an attempt at an elaborate and glamorous heist, this time in order to land loot worth many millions.

According to Hollywood Reporter, filming is expected to begin in Paris, France later this month, before production moves to the South of the country.

While it’s not known who is playing who in the film, it’s believed the film will be tied to the Ocean’s Eleven story by way of Cooper and Robbie.

Speaking at CinemaCon in April, Robbie teased: "Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows – his parents."

Danny Ocean was the character played by Clooney in the 2001 movie.

Although Clooney's Danny will not be appearing in this film, there is a separate project planned which will revolve around that character and reunite him with several other stars from the franchise.

Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle will all be back for that film, which will reportedly be inspired by the 1970s comedy Going in Style.

The Ocean's Eleven Prequel will be released in cinemas in June 2027.
