Veteran TV director David Jackson coaxes viewers into suspending their disbelief for a good portion of this amnesia thriller. Injured in a train crash, cartographer Nicole Barrow (Hannah Barefoot) strives to recover with the help of her husband (Thomas Beaudoin), therapist (Andrea Cirie) and workmate (Vanessa Kai). But why do strange men keep hassling her? Where did all her social media profiles come from? And how do a Montreal photographer (Andreas Damm) and his girlfriend (Campbell Dunsmore) fit into the picture? Tracy Andreen's script slickly sets the scene and cannily exploits common fears about catfishing. But the plot twists are less adept, as they spark knock-on implausibilities that render the action increasingly melodramatic. Barefoot capably conveys the victim's confusion, but the secondary characters are mere stick figures.
