A star rating of 4 out of 5.

This wickedly witty classic unites Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall as three young women who, weary of meeting the same old cheap bachelors, rent a luxurious Manhattan apartment together to impress affluent men (including Alexander D'Arcy and Cameron Mitchell). The leading trio are fantastic, while panoramic shots of New York benefit from the then-new CinemaScope widescreen format (the IMAX of its day), and the gorgeous costume design was rightly nominated for an Academy Award.
