Summary

Hot action and lust in the steamy tropical jungle, as heroines break out of a women's prison and start a local revolution.

IMDB

Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

John Ferguson

Jonathan Demme was something of a chicks-in-chains specialist in his days working for Roger Corman, most famously with Caged Heat. However, he gets a writing and executive producer credit on this Philippines-shot women-in-prison movie about four American nurses who find some revolutionary fervour while stationed in a repressive Latin American country. Again, Demme is fully on the side of the woman prisoners and in fact most of the movie is set outside the walls where the escaped convicts end up becoming partisans fighting the fascist government. Something of a politically correct exploitation movie.
