Summary
Sci-fi adventure sequel starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, featuring Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. Four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, dinosaurs are roaming the earth once more. When dino-protectors Owen Grady and Claire Dearing discover that biogenetics company BioSyn is collecting dinosaurs for sinister research, they team up with the experts who survived the dangers of the original Jurassic Park.

Dinosaurs now live alongside humans in this third instalment in the Jurassic World series, having been set loose in previous film Fallen Kingdom. Even so, this sixth entry in the Jurassic Park franchise has to try hard to keep audiences entertained - and, to be fair, director Colin Trevorrow throws everything at it. This time around, the heroes from the original film (played by Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum) team up with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's returning dinosaur dodgers. They take on the shady BioSyn Genetics company, led by Campbell Scott's magnificently slippery CEO, which is collecting dinosaurs while plotting global ecological collapse. Tiresome location-hopping and sporadic action set pieces give way to ample running and screaming when the gang come together at the BioSyn facility, and everyone gets their moment to shine. DeWanda Wise is the pick of the newbies playing a tough pilot, while a sarcastic Goldblum and a sneaky Dern steal the show, with fun nods to earlier instalments coming thick and fast. Although the lessons about co-existence are clunky, this is a mostly satisfying film for fans of the franchise.
