Summary

Mystery comedy sequel to Knives Out, starring Daniel Craig, Janelle Monáe and Edward Norton. Detective Benoit Blanc receives an unexpected invitation to attend a murder mystery party at the island home of tech billionaire Miles Bron. It's not long before a real death disrupts the fun - and with each of the attendees concealing a secret or two, any one of them could be the killer.

James Mottram

Daniel Craig returns as Benoit Blanc, the world's greatest detective, in Rian Johnson's thoroughly enjoyable sequel to his 2019 whodunnit Knives Out. This time, Blanc is invited to the luxury Greek island abode of tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) along with a fashion model (Kate Hudson), a scientist (Leslie Odom Jr), an influencer (Dave Bautista) and a politician (Kathryn Hahn). Also answering the call, to some raised eyebrows, is Bron's former business partner Andi (Janelle Monáe). With the action taking place in and around the showstopping main building - dubbed the Glass Onion - Johnson once again carves out a killer plot that even Blanc has trouble keeping up with. Featuring some juicy cameos and some welcome celebrity ribbing (Jared Leto especially), the film hilariously mocks the pretentious predilections of the super-wealthy. The note-perfect cast are allowed to run riot with the fiendishly fun story, with Craig, Norton and Monáe particularly excelling in their roles.
