Revered as the founding fathers of Nasa, the pioneering men of Mission Control give their side of the space-race story in David Fairhead's documentary. Neil Armstrong and co might have won all the glory for landing on the Moon, but it was the ground-breaking work of the technicians in Houston, Texas, that got them there. Truth be told, archive footage of chainsmoking men sweating over telemetry displays isn't as exciting as what unfolded in the heavens, but the testimonies of original flight director Chris Kraft, his successor Gene Kranz and colleagues give a sense of the huge responsibility on their collective shoulders - at no time greater than when the world watched as they guided the crew of the stricken Apollo 13 home. Some of the film's animated sequences may look as rudimentary as the 1960s tech on display, but the limited budget doesn't prevent this from being a worthwhile addition to the ever-growing library of Apollo-centric features.
