Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough (Disney's Andor) sizzle in this relationship drama. On a sweaty Friday night out in Greece, Chloe (Gough) is introduced to DJ Mickey (Stan). Barely one minute of conversation later, they're having sex on the beach. We follow them the morning after as they're arrested for public nudity - awkward - before heading off to a party on a nearby island where Mickey is booked to play. Over the course of the next few hours, they fall in love. Director and co-writer Argyris Papadimitropoulos nails the rush of initial insanity that can come with a new relationship. He also knows how to twist the knife later (on the Monday of the film's title), when Chloe and Mickey have spent enough time together to lose the spark - although their angst at this poing can feel forced. Gough is superb as the yin to Mickey's yang, frustrated at his breezy way of living. Stan is similarly great, sparkling with childish energy, unable to see why she isn't happy. Expect lots of nudity, sex... and a very memorable naked moped ride.
