This fantasy about the Queen's coronation arrived too late to catch the mood of national euphoria, but it's still a pleasing snapshot of 1950s Britain. On the cusp of finding film fame in The Ladykillers, Peter Sellers plays a policeman on the trail of Colin Gibson and Lesley Dudley, two little scamps who've run away from home in order to witness the pageantry. Even with such comic dependables as Wilfrid Hyde White and Sid James among the motley characters the kids encounter, this is a pretty minor offering, though the film does feature footage of the coronation and commentary from Richard Dimbleby and Wynford Vaughan Thomas.
