Louise Andersen (Natalie Madueño) runs a café on an idyllic Norwegian island and is newly engaged to the handsome Joachim (Pål Sverre Hagen). She has no memory of her past, having washed up on the island several years ago, seriously injured and suffering from amnesia. Then a customer recognises her and Louise discovers she is really Helene Söderberg, heir to a huge Danish shipping empire - who already has a husband (Claes Bang) and son (David Elting). Can she recover her memory and love them again? Where does this leave poor Joachim? And how did she end up on that shipwrecked boat, anyway? Though this all feels less like a movie and more a shortened miniseries, the film's two hours is still more than enough time to be drawn in to Helene's plight. But the twists and turns aren't quite as explosive as the film-makers think they are, and there's a strong sense of "seen it all before." Without anything new to offer, this might be perfectly watchable but it's far from memorable.
