Review

Jack Seale

A feature documentary that aims to show how, during his term as President of the United States between 1989 and 1993, George HW Bush set in train a brand of politics that has consistently undermined any significant effort to tackle climate change.

Made using entirely archive material, the film charts how Bush was lobbied by environmentalists on one side and powerful industrialists on the other, a fight that could have only one winner: from then on, the film says, the fight for climate justice was doomed.
