Summary

A concert film gets up close and personal with chart-topping pop singer Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, which began in Arizona in March 2023. Coinciding with the release of the 10th studio album Midnights, the tour opens with the tracks Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince and Cruel Summer.

Review

Frances Taylor

The world is running out of records for Taylor Swift to break. Eras — her 151-date global tour — has become the first to make over $1 billion. When this film version was released in cinemas, it also broke records. No doubt as it lands on Disney+, it’ll break even more.

On stage for over three and a half hours, Swift powers through 44 songs in a gig that spans ten of her albums. With breathtaking sets and stage craft, it borders on a religious experience for the tens of thousands of devoted fans (or “Swifties”) in attendance.

Swift will be in the UK later this year, although tickets sold out in nanoseconds. This filmed version is the next best thing.
