Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

Dave Aldridge

Reminiscent of Raising Arizona, this is an eccentric romantic comedy about a trailer-park couple who have only their dream of moving to Hawaii to sustain them. Their dream is put on the backburner when the husband's convict brother escapes from prison and comes a-calling. Stephen Baldwin and Chris Penn play the male leads. But any British interest resides in the film's leading lady, Emily Lloyd, the bright young actress whose career rapidly went from wishing she was here to wishing she was anywhere. She's good, proving that she only needed the right film to re-establish herself. Unfortunately this obviously wasn't it, watchable though she is.
