Summary

Action spy thriller starring Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson and Henry Cavill. Ethan Hunt is sent to Berlin to buy three stolen plutonium cores before a terrorist group can get a hold of them. But after a hostage crisis leads to the failure of the mission, Hunt is targeted by a CIA assassin who could derail the IMF for good.

Alan Jones

Setting a new bar for exhilarating escapist adventure, the sixth episode in the spy franchise finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) posing as a terrorist to buy plutonium before MI6 rogue agent Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) can enact his psycho doomsday scenario. The densely plotted story interconnects with several past plot threads, with myriad assassins and former allies jostling for attention, while events speed towards the nuclear-countdown climax. But what audiences really want to see is Cruise's sensational stunt work - and the veteran action man doesn't disappoint, with a motorbike chase through Paris, a chase over London rooftops and a helicopter battle over mountain terrain that climaxes in one of the most spectacular cliffhangers ever filmed. This explosive and awe-inspiringly ambitious extravaganza is simply impossible to resist.
