Familiar faces abound in this formulaic legal procedural, which was produced to rustle up interest in a series entitled The Prosecutors that never got made. Lawyers Peter Gallagher (David Canary) and Paul Hamilton Jr (Robert Pine) work for Joe Dubbs (James Olson) at the Department of Justice's Manhattan office. The latter is saddled with the prosecution of a devoted husband (James Davidson) for his role in a drug deal, while Gallagher babysits a small-time hood (Richard S Castellano) whose brother has just been murdered. The writing is as business-like as Buzz Kulik's direction, but the villains are much more intriguing than the legal eagles.
