Video king Rutger Hauer enlivens this proficient but mundane thriller, set in the bleak snowy wastes of Alaska. Dylan Walsh plays a part-time policeman who reluctantly agrees to nursemaid a killer (Hauer) to the city. When their plane crashes en route, Walsh finds both the environment and his prisoner against him. Hauer is as charismatic as ever, while the effective direction is by Peter Masterson, sometime actor and father of Mary Stuart Masterson.
