Summary
Comedy adventure starring Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington. Paddington and the Brown family travel to Peru to visit Paddington's Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears. But she has gone missing somewhere in the jungle, so they set out to find her with a bracelet and a map from Aunt Lucy's cabin.

Paddington Bear is on a quest to rescue Aunt Lucy from the Peruvian jungle in this fast-moving, gag-filled third movie in the wildly successful franchise. When Paddington's aunt goes missing from the Home for Retired Bears, he and the Brown family embark on a perilous riverboat mission to find her. But can the boat's captain - Hunter Cabot (Antonio Banderas), who is literally haunted by his past - be trusted? Paddington in Peru adds some Indiana Jones-style antics to the series, but there's a still plenty of the same slapstick action and self-effacing British humour that characterised the previous films. Debut director Dougal Wilson (mostly famous for helming John Lewis Christmas adverts) has the unenviable task of replacing the acclaimed Paul King, but acquits himself well, delivering a slick, polished, constantly amusing movie. It certainly helps having Olivia Colman on board as an irrepressibly chirpy singing nun. While not quite as effortlessly sharp and inventive as its predecessors, this remains a hugely entertaining feel-good romp.
