Summary

A feud between neighbours Neil and Scott ends in the power being cut to the whole street, with all the other residents leaving the two on guard while they stay elsewhere. The two end up being the only line of defence when local crime family the Brennans try to burgle their entire street in one night. Festive comedy, starring Lee Mack and Chris McCausland

Frances Taylor

If you’re lamenting the lack of a Not Going Out festive special, do give this a go instead. Slapstick and wordplay abound in this cartoonish caper which stars Lee Mack and Chris McCausland
as neighbours at war who are forced to put their differences aside at Christmas.

When a power outage strikes in their cul-de-sac, Neil (Mack) and Scott (McCausland) volunteer to stay behind and look after the street while everyone else makes alternative plans for the big day. Feeding a cat and watering plants is one thing. Taking on a gang of burglars proves quite another…

Written by Ghosts’ Laurence Rickard and Martha Howe-Douglas, there are Home Alone-style japes and a feel-good message in this jolly romp.
