Abi (Georgina Campbell) works for a tech company and, as part of her job, she's assigned a prototype of its new, creepily human android to test out at home. What could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot, actually. T.I.M. (Technologically Integrated Manservant), portrayed with unsettling blankness by Eamon Farren, slowly forms a weird, proto-romantic attachment to Abi. This alarms Abi's husband Paul (Mark Rowley), who tries to warn her, but their marriage is already on shaky ground as he's still making up for cheating on her in the past - and T.I.M. is very clever. First-time feature director Spencer Brown brings crisp production design and a subdued, paranoid menace to this slow-burn drama, but Sarah Govett's screenplay fails to add anything new to a sci-fi genre already bulging with potentially dangerous human-like androids. You can always guess what's about to happen before it does, and this familiarity rather undermines what is otherwise a solid, Black Mirror-esque thriller.
