A star rating of 2 out of 5.

David Parkinson

How many dogs have their own websites? Well, the one devoted to Barkley, the Jack Russell star of this family comedy, is full of choice morsels - such as the fact he was named after a character in Out of Africa and that his tail-wagging scenes were performed by a stunt double. But, back to the movie, in which he plays a pooch called Rocky, who is struck by lightning while out walking with his master, Michael Riley, causing their personalities to be mysteriously exchanged. It has been done before in Big and Vice Versa and the canine angle adds nothing new.
