FIFA World Cup 2026 | Scotland v Morocco
Sport
Scotland v Morocco (Kick-off 11.00pm). Mark Pougatch presents coverage of the Group C match at Boston Stadium in the USA. This is the second World Cup meeting between these nations, with the previous one also being a group-stage match at France '98, the last time Scotland appeared at the finals. It was the Africans who came out on top with a comfortable 3-0 win in Saint-Étienne over a side that featured the likes of Jim Leighton, Colin Hendry, John Collins and Gordon Durie, and was managed by Craig Brown. Morocco will go into this contest as favourites to prevail once again after an impressive performance in their opener, which saw them draw 1-1 with Brazil. However, it is the Scots who sit on top of the table at this early stage following a 1-0 win against Haiti, which was their first victory in a World Cup finals since they defeated Sweden in 1990. With analysis from Roy Keane, Duncan Ferguson and Ange Postocoglou, and commentary by Jon Champion and Ally McCoist

MOTD Live: FIFA World Cup 2026 | USA v Australia
2026
Sport
USA v Australia (Kick-off 8.00pm). Gabby Logan presents coverage of the Group D match at Seattle Stadium in the USA. These nations have faced each other on four previous occasions, but this is the first competitive fixture between the two, with all others being friendlies. The most recent of those games took place in Colorado last October, and saw the Americans dominate possession and eventually triumph 2-1, bringing an end to a 12-match unbeaten run for the Socceroos, in what was also a first defeat for Tony Popovic as coach. Both teams impressed in their openers, with USA overcoming Paraguay 4-1, and the Aussies claiming a shock 2-0 victory over Türkiye. With analysis from Olivier Giroud, Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott

FIFA World Cup 2026 | Brazil v Haiti
Sport
Brazil v Haiti (Kick-off 1.30am). Mark Pougatch presents coverage of the Group C match at Philadelphia Stadium in the USA. Brazil were second best for most of their opener against Morocco, but came away with a 1-1 draw, while Haiti performed admirably in a 1-0 defeat to Scotland. Brazil have registered large victories in the two previous encounters between these nations, claiming a 6-0 win in an international friendly in 2004, and more recently a 7-1 triumph in the group stage of the 2016 Copa America, which also took place in the United States, and saw then-Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho score a hat-trick. Despite a relatively poor record in qualifying the Seleção will have high hopes of performing well under the stewardship of former Real Madrid, Chelsea and AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was appointed in May last year on a one-year contract, which has since been extended for another four years, and anything other than a victory in this match will be considered a catastrophe. With analysis from Karen Carney and Emma Hayes, and commentary by Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon

FIFA World Cup 2026 | Türkiye v Paraguay
Sport
Türkiye v Paraguay (Kick-off 4.00am). Semra Hunter presents coverage of the Group D match at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in Santa Clara, USA. Both sides need something from this fixture, with Türkiye abject in their 2-0 defeat to Australia, and Paraguay blown away by the USA in their opening contests. There has only been one previous meeting between these nations, a 0-0 draw in a 1995 friendly, but Paraguay will hope to emulate their results against European opposition in the group stage at their last World Cup appearance in South Africa in 2010, when they drew 1-1 against Italy and defeated Slovakia 2-0 on their way to finishing top of Group F. They subsequently overcame Japan in the last-16 via a penalty shootout, but then fell foul of a European nation in the quarter-finals, when they lost 1-0 to eventual champions Spain. With analysis from Juan Mata and Jobi McAnuff
